C'mon, modern man has not lost the ability to self govern. Look at any successful business–it is an example of efficient self-government. The problem is that the number of people who refuse to take any personal responsibility except for going to the mailbox to collect their "free" government checks has increased exponentially, and the Fed wants to continue that trend ad infinitum so that it can call all the shots.
