That is precisely what this Administration wants...to force people to become completely dependent upon The Fed, using the argument that "if we were,'t there to help you, you'd be on the street!"

The One's Shamulus Bill has proven to be anathema to the economy, as predicted by myself, CC, and many other contributors to this forum. There are many Americans who supported neither The One nor his deceptive sales pitch, and their discontent is spreading, as evidenced by the aforementioned's sinking poll numbers. Hard to believe that some of the BM (Big Media) outlets actually reported these stats.

Speaking of "heads," why don't you use yours? Giving the Fed more money for free health care (for people who don't care to support themselves) and other assorted liberal agenda items hurts the foundation upon which our country was founded. Excessive taxation deprives individuals of the dignity of personal choice. For an "alledgly" commentator, you don't appear to have much economic nor historical know-how.

The One's minions have set their alarms on "permanent snooze"...now that he is in the White House, they're allowing him to do all their thinking for them.

Tom,

Great post. You laid out very succinctly, the reasons why this jack-ass won the election. In a word: white guilt.

Let's see. The One has his fingers on the purse strings right now, so beyond keeping a stiff upper lip and supporting his detractors in local and state-wide elections or writing him a letter directly, our power is temporarily limited. We must keep our eyes open for the soonest chance to replace him in the next presidential election, and ensure we have a winning candidate ready to take the reins in 2012.

Evidently, Bush did well enough in the first 4 to get reelected, with the popular vote this time, so the problem couldn't have been then. And he had a Democratic Congress for the last two years of his presidency, so it couldn't have been there, right? So obviously he either screwed up majorly during years 5 & 6, or he inherited something that led to this. What could it be? I mean I know that Clinton deregulated a lot of the economy while he was in office, with his pants on. Could that be it? Is it possible that this leads back to a Democratic president? I mean after all, if the Left can blame Bush for all of Obama's problems, surely we can blame Bush's problems on Clinton.

1) We had just left 8 years with Bush, during which we kept safe enough for all of the protesters to be able to spout their hippy propaganda.
2) Many people simply wanted to make history by electing the first Black POTUS
3) He has the support of most of Hollywood, which gave him a quick in with many of our country's most impressionable minds.
4) He had a campaign fund that was easily twice as large as McCain's
5) He had the favor of most media outlets on paper, online, and on screen.
6) He is a very charismatic, smooth speaker (when he has a teleprompter or three)
7) He was supported by most non-Caucasian demographics, and at portion of them voted for him because he was the non-Caucasian candidate
8) The only people that opposed him were GOP party-liners, who don't look at names on ballots, people who looked at what he said, rather than how he said it, and admittedly people that had a single major issue with him (this issue could have ranged from gun laws to same-sex marriage laws-to race to abortion laws)
You are right. There were a lot of factors going into his victory, and not a single one of them had anything to do with good policies.
