My Predictions for the New Obama “Presidency“
Now that America has shown us all that affirmative action even works in politics, I’ve compiled a list of things that you can probably expect to happen. These predictions are 80% gleaned from information all of us have access to, and 15% gut instinct based on many years of research, historical study, and being glued to current affairs. The other 5% is just anger at my countrymen’s stupidity–I admit it.

- Websites and mass emails offering “free grants,” courtesy of the government and “Obama’s wealth redistribution.” Actually, this one’s a freebie, because I have an email with a date and timestamp of literally minutes after Obama was declared the winner, offering exactly that.
- Israel will understand this election was the end of any type of assistance, military or otherwise, from the U.S. , and will stop holding back their defense at the request of the American administration. Look for a first strike on Iran soon, as well as increased activity by the Israeli military in general. Israel is on her own now, and God help us all because of it.
- Look for Iranian retaliation–against American targets. That goes doubly for other terrorist organizations. We just elected a man with the full endorsement of every major terrorist group in the world as leader of the free world. It’s the political equivalent of hiring a child molester to babysit your kids while you leave for the weekend. Not only is HE going to have fun with your child, but he’ll probably sit and watch while his friends come over and do it too.
- Look for far-left justices appointed to the Supreme Court, effectively tying up the entire government in a trifecta of liberal humanism, the buzzwords of which remain empty platitudes like “hope and change,” and the ultimate goal of which is socialism–and soon, sharia law.
- Military cases of troops being tried and convicted for killing the enemy in combat will continue to rise–and the conviction/plea-bargain rate will stay at nearly 100%, as the government seeks to use the best men and women this country has to offer as sacrificial lambs on the altar of global appeasement. Those brave and honorable men who currently reside in prison cells across the country, stripped of their rank, their careers, families, and their good name, will not taste free air again for many years. Their sacrifices and their stories will be forgotten by the general public, remembered only by those of us who continue to fight for them.
- Look for the slow but steady erosion of rights you have enjoyed for your entire lives–all the while being told it’s “for your own good.” Restrictions on gun ownership, home schooling, encouraged dependence on the ever-growing federal government. More nanny-state provisions will be put into place to protect the “disadvantaged” and the “poor,” (read: lazy, uneducated, unwilling to better themselves) even while groups like the unborn, the mentally handicapped, elderly, and terminally ill are slowly pushed toward euthanasia. Of course, this will be done with feel-good phrases like “death with dignity,” “not wanting to be a burden,” and “merciful release from suffering,” all of which ignore the basic fact that we are killing people without their consent for the “good of the people.” Before you tell me I’m crazy, let’s just remember that Barack Obama was the ONLY senator in the Illinois state senate to vote against providing medical care for babies who were inconsiderate enough to survive an abortion. Also, look for taxes to go up. Yes, they’ll go up.
- You think t he economy is bad now? Just wait. You’ll have the most expensive “free” health care ever. Bread lines aren’t just for Russians anymore.
We have traded experience for color, freedom for slavery–and the irony is that the average American sheeple thinks their vote somehow righted an ancient wrong, somehow ENDED the spectre of slavery and ushered in some beautiful era of liberty. In reality, we are about to be less free than you ever thought possible.
I watched the faces of those crowded into the mob (excuse the pun) in Chicago . They stared at Obama like he was a god, an idol, a panacea to their every want and need. We have truly failed as a nation if we are at the point where we feel we must look to one man to take care of us all, to be our father figure and our sugar daddy. We have lost not only the “can-do” attitude of past generations, but the “MUST-do” attitude of our forefathers. We have allowed ourselves to become reduced from Patrick Henry’s proud cry of “liberty or death” to the sniveling, whining idea that we are owed something. We have gone from being the honorable defenders of freedom, to being told we are the problem.
The eyes of Obama and McCain were also telling. McCain acted with class and grace in his concession speech , offering the most honorable response I’ve seen yet. I don’t agree with all of McCain’s positions, but it cannot be denied that the man has served his nation–at permanent and severe detriment to himself–for half a century. His eyes were clear and sincere, honest. His speech underlined the very reasons why, of the two men offered, he was hands down the best choice.
On the other hand, Obama’s eyes were cold, calculating. His manner was smug and still carried the arrogance he has always had. His facial expression was one of barely disguised disdain for everything people like me believe in. His body language was smooth, polished–too much so. He talked of patriotism as though it is a value he is familiar with–and yet, his horrifying attitude toward the country he now leads is as well-documented as his friendships with those who seek its demise. He is charismatic to those who don’t know what to look for, and he is inspiring to those who cannot or will not think for themselves. However, too many who voted for him are guilty of the most dangerous kind of hypocrisy. You see, we are told daily that we must not see color, just mankind. (We are all family, you know–or so we’re told.) And yet Barack Obama was handed the White House on a silver platter by a fawning media, a bevy of foreign donors (who, to this day and in violation of U.S. election laws, remain nameless and unaccounted for), and a populace who voted based on color instead of right and wrong–even in the face of the most damning evidence against a Presidential candidate in many years , perhaps ever.
It is said that the people receive the government they deserve. Sadly, I fear that’s correct. We have become complacent, unwilling to see the writing on the wall, content to frolic in the warm water without bothering to notice that it’s been getting hotter by the minute. We are two seconds from a rolling boil–and perhaps it is already too late.
So, liberals, enjoy your victory. Jump around. Have a party, file for your free grants. Scream “Gimme my handout!” and make fun of those of us who fought to make sure your “messiah” didn’t get access to the most powerful position in the world. Just remember when it all comes crashing down: You own the White House, the Congress, and soon the Supreme Court. You have no one to blame but yourselves for the mess you just created.

Whatever happened to the concept of public service as a way for those in power to do what was best for OUR nation? OUR economy? OUR taxpayers? Our politicians tell us that if the companies in America are doing well then there will be a “trickle-down” effect that will enrich all of us. Are the Americans declaring bankruptcy, having foreclosures, seeing their retirement savings shrink, and just trying to make ends meet feeling more enriched? I sure don’t and I know a lot of other people who don’t. The bottom line is that we simple taxpayers don’t count anymore. I wonder what the wealthy will do when there is no longer a middle class to bear the tax burden of this country? They will probably retire to Mexico or some other country to live in luxury while the rest of us do our best to survive. They’ll talk about how sad it is . . . who could have seen it coming? . . . and other meaningless platitudes while they live in luxury on their off-shore accounts and investments.

" An old Chinese saying if you want to kill a bear you must first lead it to honey" It would have been much better if our politicians would have just said put your goods next to our goods, at the same price and let the consumer chose which one to buy. That would have been too easy. The politicians and CEO's seem to be forgetting that American labor made these companies strong. Everyone forgets that American labor made this nation strong! And what did our politicians do, but help the big CEOs turn their backs on the laborers and voters and help them dismantle our great industries for the all mighty dollar. Now they send all the goods back to America and charge the consumer as if it was made in the good old U.S.A.

We watch on TV as our Senate and House parade cartoons of our President as a Eagle dressed in an army uniform. We see a person in the Senate that thinks she is above the law and should not have to stop for a police officer. Then when the heat is on she plays the race card. We see in the Senate and House that they do not know what the word illegal means illegal. When the voters told them "No!" on the amnesty bill. Then they tried to hide it in the war bill and now Sen. Harry Reid and Dick Durbin wants to take it up again in . The only reason they want them legal is they have been here for so long, they are at retirement age now. They want to get them on your Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. If our politicians love the illegal so much, please move to Mexico and run their country so we can put someone in office who really cares about America

i can not agree with this more. Every word is so true. I really agree with the part on which everyone did vote for him because he is half black. People know nothing else of Obama. As a short story of stupid people, i was sitting in class in school watching the inauguration, and of course everyone was stoked, except me, but the girl next to me kept going on about how awesome it was to finally see Obama's parents. I was as confused as ever trying to figure what the hell she was talking about. Well, behind obama was a big black guy and a white women, the girl in the class actually thought that these were her parents!!! I'm not quite sure where this woman earned her degree(s), nor do I care whether she is a Veteran; the simple fact is that this woman is a moron and does not deserve to be in the spotlight, whether national or local. But that's the beauty of an egalitarian society like ours, even morons like this can (as Andy Warhol once said) enjoy their fifteen minutes. I voted for Obama, and while I respect John McCain, he lacks the so-called straight-talk, the independence of mind and energy he possessed eight years ago. Simply put, he was not the best choice (we won't even bother discuss the nitwit of a vice presidential candidate he chose, which had to be an insult to anyone with an IQ over 60). Meanwhile, Obama, while perhaps not the ideal, was the obvious choice of the two. You wingnuts can scream and lament the loss and decry the victory, but the fact remains: the reason Obama won in a landslide was that after eight years of Bush and his incompetency, anyone with a "D" behind their name was certainly guaranteed victory. I'm not exactly sure who this troll is talking about when she refers to liberals who expect handouts, but this liberal does not. As long as rightwingers continue to think in narrow categories and stereotypes, they will continue to lose elections.

As someone who would benefit from free healthcare, I still disagree with it. I'm not selfish enough to not think of America first. Where would the billions of dollars come from?? Hmmmmm…Not exactly sure what to say. Most of these statements are assumptions, even before his real presidency has started. Chances are most of these assumptions may not even occur. It makes statements that make it sound like Obama is now a dictator or something and has absolute rule. There is still a system of checks-and-balances. Of course, democrats hold a lot of offices, so I'm not sure what to say. There are others who will gives statements about how Obama is good. They can be right or wrong same as this. Since they are pro-Obama their commentary won't be on here. We will just have to see. I'm not going to base anything off of what some air force veteran says (especially since this commentary says some crazy things). I'll just see how the next 4 years go.

That whole description of what Obama's speeches are like compared to McCain's was a load of trash. She just interpreted it that way and decided to state her opinion. There are many other qualified people who could've interpreted it differently. Free speech is great, but don't take idiots like these too seriously. I wonder if she is really listening too herself as she speaks. I'm going to have to say no (many people on this site don't listen to themselves speaking or rather look at themselves typing – me not included). McCain's election was doomed from the beginning because of Bush. Not many Americans liked Bush after his 8 years, so a democratic candidate was of course going to be elected. Also the selection of Palin for vice president was another dumb decision by McCain (I think it was to attract women to his campaign, but it backfired because of her stupidity and lack of experience). McCain's old age and poor decision making pretty much made him a poor choice for president. Military experience my @$$. Being in a POW camp doesn't count as military experience. It just counts as jail experience, so he can relate to criminals. I wonder what this stupid lady will do when she realizes all her assumptions were incorrect and that Obama was a great president. It's so refreshing to see another liberal who only knows what to say because they saw the news. Never an original thought and never let facts or truth affect what you want to believe. If Sarah Palin was the Presidential candidate she would have beaten the pants off your Obama. McCain is the one who lost the election, not Palin. I don't know. I thought she made a lot of valid points. Her position on Isreal, erosion of rights, increased government dependence all ring true with me. I didn't see where she was dogging on McCain at all. In fact, she mentioned how much class he showed in conceeding to Obama. No, McCain is a class act. I do think that he was so nice that he refused to get down in the dirt with Obama and force him to show who he really is. It cost him the election in my opinion.

Those brave and honorable men who currently reside in prison cells across the country, stripped of their rank, their careers, families, and their good name, will not taste free air again for many years. Their sacrifices and their stories will be forgotten by the general public, remembered only by those of us who continue to fight for them.

The eyes of Obama and McCain were also telling. McCain acted with class and grace in his concession speech , offering the most honorable response I've seen yet. I don't agree with all of McCain's positions, but it cannot be denied that the man has served his nation–at permanent and severe detriment to himself–for half a century. His eyes were clear and sincere, honest. His speech underlined the very reasons why, of the two men offered, he was hands down the best choice.
This is the first thing on which Lange is right…that the concession speech was handled with class. However, if McCain was the better choice, he would have gotten to 270 electoral votes. And don't give me any of this bull____ that no blue state could be flipped red? It matters not that none of the states to 270 was won by Obama with less than 8.5 percent of the popular vote. McCain could still have won a few of those states.

It is said that the people receive the government they deserve. Sadly, I fear that's correct. We have become complacent, unwilling to see the writing on the wall, content to frolic in the warm water without bothering to notice that it's been getting hotter by the minute. We are two seconds from a rolling boil–and perhaps it is already too late.

My local newspaper twisted The One's incompetence into an asset, explaining it away with the phrase, "…but he is most certainly outperforming his predecessor."
This brings up an important plot point in The One's script: that is, whodunit? Was it The One's lack of faith in the market economy? Or was it, as his cheerleaders repeatedly shriek, the fault of George W. Bush, the man whose bold and appropriate actions kept Al-Quaida from launching another successful attack on American soil during his 2 terms?
