When I put this site up, my intention was for it to be a place to constructively discuss Barack Obama as well as to poke fun at him for the dumbass things he does, his lack of political experience and his questionable background.
Instead of evolving into what I wanted, this site has turned into a pit of racism, hatred, name calling and threats.
I have, on more than one occasion, asked people to NOT make threatening comments against Obama or anyone that participates on this site. Whether we like it or not, Obama IS now the President and he deseves AT LEAST a minimum of respect from us.
I’ve said before and it’s worth repeating. If you don’t like something that Obama does as President, do something constructive. Send Obama an email, organize a petition drive, organize a protest, etc. Yelling , swearing, calling names and making threats is not going to do you or anyone any good. It will only serve to upset yourself, and others, more than you already are.
I can’t let this nonsense here go on as it has been. If I keep seeing racism, hate and threats, I will put ALL comments on moderation so I have to read each one first before it is allowed to be posted OR I will completely close this site.
Tonight I have deleted hateful,nasty comments that some people have posted. I have also blocked a few people that deserved it. In addition, YOU MUST NOW BE LOGGED IN TO COMMENT!
The choice of whether this site stays up is yours. Stop threatening people that comment here. Stop threatening Obama. Stop the hate and racism! This is the last time I will say it. I’m not kidding!

I think Obama is the worst thing that's ever happened to this country. That being said, I'm glad that you are taking the stand you are. There's nothing to be gained in the debate by name calling and blind hatered. I have very good reasons for not liking Obama. I could care less if he were green, and I'd dislike him just as much if he were white.

Thank you for upholding the higher standard. There is a notion that gets taught that each of us is no better than the next person. I disagree completely. There are people I am just "better than" and several of them have had their comments taken down from this site. The office of the President of the United States deserves our respect, and the privilege to disagree with that office requires us to rise to the challenge of disagreeing without be disparaging.

I am 51 years old, My parents went through the depression ,yeah they were late bloomers (I was adopted) but they had there ways. i look back and can understand where they came from. my father was a merchant marine and a carpenter , my mother was a housewife ,raising 4 of us, all adopted .
They reminded us all the time what a dollar was, and what they had to do to get the next one and encouraged us to to not be like they were,living day to day, paycheck to paycheck .That was a long time ago and there gone, boy do i miss them now kind of sappy.

Thank you. I think most inputs from this site are reasonable, but the site needs and can benefit from monitoring. This site can take off, provided it is not viewed as only for haters venting vomit, and you could get rich from Google advertisers, etc, in spite of its name. I love site's feel, managing of replies, and lively reparte'. As all thoughtful commentators are well aware, CC, there is no reasonable heft whatsoever in calling just any writer criticizing The One a racist. True, there are some out there, the ones I think you call "kool-aid drinkers," who do make racist comments, but I believe they should try to find a more appropriate site to vent their particular type of criticism. Still, I would never tell someone what he or she cannot say or write.
Your use of the term "racist" to describe negativity you harbor toward unsavory types(and justifiably so) is a new usage I've heard before, but only very recently.
I must agree with your point, though, about his using his being mulatto as a weapon against valid criticism. Many people I've spoken to are scared to death to say one negative word about him, lest a neighbor whisper, "Racist!" Sounds kind of like the Salem witch phenomenon to me.
