You are correct. We will be removing nukes from our arsenal while advesaries, even in third world countries, will be building their’s up. I can’t understand how he thinks this is in any way a good thing. I’m not even going to go into the statement on the QDR.

If he’s going to state open threats to specific countries such as Pakistan, he may want to hold on to some military might.

I feel less intelligent for even watching that crap!!Maybe if people spent as much time researching and getting the real facts instead of putting together uninformed nonsense like this our country would be doing better. Why is it always the village idiots being heard and not true Americans? This is what brings down our country. Shame on you!

We do have two choices in November … peace and prosperity, or 4 more years of the same.

Think about what America will look like after a third Bush term … not a pretty sight. The Chinese will own us, Mexico will put a fence up to keep us out, and our cities will look like Calcutta with all the homeless, jobless, healthcareless people living on the streets. Makes me cringe.

Hey Ray,

So tell me exactly what is the point of disputing the so-called “facts” when you are indeed in support of a video citing bad sci-fi movies of what will happen to America if Obama becomes president? The man does not want to completely rid the country of nuclear weapons, but he does not want the situation to heighten. Currently we have hundreds more nuclear weapons than other countries so there is no harm in ebbing production and even dismantling a few. If another country were to again find us a threat of Cold War proportions (and believe you me, we are a tremendous threat) I don’t think anyone would benefit from another nuclear arms race. Other countries hate us because we are the oppressors, Obama is proposing a change to that view.

Whoever gets elected, will not destroy the United States of America. Whoever gets elected will work to make America a better place. Both have good intentions and it doesn’t reflect well on anyone if people go around calling Obama the “anti-Christ”. And lets face it, if people really feel that strongly to operate on bias rather than hard cold fact and belief in the good nature of humanity then maybe they’ll leave if Obama is elected and America will be a better place for it.

God Bless America, no one else will.

First off, I am not voting for either of the “two” choices this November because, well, there are LOTS of other choices and I will be voting based on my ideals and belief system, not out of fear or hatred.
with that said, your ignorance terrifies me. think about what America looks like RIGHT NOW. doesn’t your stomach churn at the thought of our economy dying right in front of our eyes, that our war-mongering behavior is nauseating, that our imbalance in wealth distribution is sad????
I could never understand your misguided thought process.

Ray Says:

You’re right about the possibility of that future, Sofa. However, it would most likely come under the leadership of someone that chooses to “negotiate” with the Chinese in a softer manner. For instance, Clinton (who Obama is a stark reminder of) provided the Chinese how many special weapons plans? As far as the Mexican fence…..what about the beginning of the influx of illegal aliens? While it’s always been an issue, the numbers increased the most under the eight years of democratic presidency.

And healthcare….what would we ever do without healthcare? How did we establish this country, make it through 2 world wars and become this successful without healthcare? I’ll tell you how: Doctors charged realistic fees and we paid them!!! I know…it’s capitolistic, but that’s what we where built on.

In regards to the jobless & the homeless, please provide me with some insight as to how the VAST MOJORITY got that way? I’m not saying every one of them. I’m saying the VAST MAJORITY. They got that way because they quit on life. I’m sorry, Sofa, but I have no sympathy for quitters. I refuse to give money to beggars. I have brought a handful (at one time or another) to the nearest fast-food resturaunt and purchased a meal for them, but I’d have to say that more than that have turned it down, insisting on giving them cash.

I’m amazed that democrats will complain about how much we’re spending in Iraq, but won’t even consider the amount we give away in welfare! You want to talk about jobless?!?! Why can we train someone with Downs Syndrome to work in resturaunts and get blind people to build clocks, but find impossible to require fully able-bodied people do NOTHING but stay home and pump out babies and get paid? Cringe indeed.

LOL,

First of, I support very little of the propaganda seen on these clips. BTW, I never mentioned “antichrist.” If you search the site, you have seen my reply to the site admin is consistent in far-fetched video clips. Please don’t convolute my words. Not only is it unbecoming, but it shows lack of intelligent substance.

That being said, these clips DO contain a number of accurate statements of Obama. I understand the concept of taking statements out of text, but some things you just can’t explain with such an excuse. I could scour the net and post Obama’s quotes, but you either could do this yourself or already know and dismiss them. I don’t commit the ver badum to memory, but I can recall their undenialbe meanings. In order to get a grasp of our nuclear arsenal, it’s capabilities and it’s limititations, you need to dig a little deeper than liberal media produced garbage. Try an objective source. There’s a reason we have these numbers, and it’s not to “kill the world 3 times over.” You actually have to try to understand the different concepts. Nuclear weapons aren’t one size fits all. You can start by researching tactical vs strategic nuclear weapons. Once you have a grasp of that, look up retaliation to each level and area. As you will see, it gets pretty complex.

If you do choose to research Obama’s “plan” for defense spending and nuclear proliferation, please take a moment to research A Q Khan. Khan is another madman (among Bin Laden and others), allowed to grow in power and plant the seed of his works during Clinton’s term. I bring up Clinton, because as Twain said “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme.” In other words, Obama’s “change” has been seen before….and it’s one of incompetence. Tolerance of people that hate us and what we stand for is nothing more than that. Our adversaries aren’t brave enough to take us on straight forward. Instead, they use our compassion against us…claiming that we are oppressors. Of course, the naive feel guilty because they’re bombarded by liberal medial and lead to belive they should feel guilty if they support the US government. As a result, we’ll protest against Bush because they convince themselves:

1. There are no WMD in Iraq – (false) Mustard and GB rockets & projectiles have been found and incedentally injured some of our troops.

2. Bush single-handedly initiated the war – (false) Congress voted in favor of the war.

3. People against the war conveniently forget that Saddam was defiantly violating the terms of surrender. Clinton was relying on the UN (who’s president was illegally involved in buying black market oil from Iraq…remember?) to enforce the terms. Saddam was so used to “tolerance,” that when Bush came in, Saddam chose to kick out the weapons inspectors. I’m here to tell you, as the leader of a defeated country, you don’t ge this option.

So you see, I agree with you…..there’s plenty of hard cold facts out there that get twisted by bias. There’s a possibility that we may get to see how Obama’s changes impact our national security. If he does win, I hope he doesn’t tolerate another group of madmen poised on taking us apart.

Oh…the leaving thing is really funny, by the way. As a rule, I’m not party faithful and I’ll pick on the leaders of a party, but never the supporters. I personally believe everyone has a right to support who they want. I do have to ask, though: Why do democratic supporters always bring up leaving the country? I hardly ever se republicans say something to this effect. It’s as if dem supporters think there’s a better place to go. What funny is, for all the talking about leaving, they never do.

I have a job and an education, so you know what people who decided to drop out of school and do drugs do not have my support at all whatsoever! And I also do not support a candidate who does not support our troops. By not supporting the war you do not support our troops and do not believe in them, thats pathetic! We support the troops while people here are selling their homes and people being laid off from work, hours at jobs being cut. This affects not only America but the territories that are under the U.S., even their children serve in the U.S. military. I for one am not fond of Mccain, but if for some reason he becomes the next president…I hope to see things better. Define “American”….it isn’t a color, If you want a president that carries an “American” last name…then get a native American as president….or a South American native. That ought to fix it.

Many people who went to school instead of dropping out and doing drugs make less than 250k per year. Most of them make around 50k. No tax jump there from Obama.

I’m sick of rich sniveling bastards complaining about a tax increase. Try living off microwaved noodles and peanut butter for a week so you can pay your bills despite working 60 hours. The wealthy are out of touch with the reality that 98% of Americans face.

If the wealthy are unwilling to make very minor sacrifices for the sake of your fellow man, then you are invited to sever your ties with God and worship the all mighty dollar instead. The hell with you spoiled brats.

Sofa King Ray Todd Ed Says:

Scamp, its not really the wealthy that are complaining about the tax increase, its the middle income people (who would see a tax break under Obama), but they just looking for reasons to put down Obama. So don’t confuse what the wannabes say here with the attitude of wealthy people … nobody likes to pay taxes, nobody likes to see their taxes go up, but when you are wealthy it just comes with the territory.

I didn’t get the economic stimulus $600 check, I can’t write off my kids college costs, many deductions are reduced or eliminated for me, but I am all for whatever makes America stronger and if that means I have to pay some more in taxes … well its just same shit, different day for me, I am used to it. I respect and admire John McCain as the decent, brave American he is. He is not however, the change we need and deserve. He has done nothing to differentiate his policies from those of George W. Oh it was your candidate…Those were actually his words?…. and your dumb ass is still supporting him?….. Insanity! Supporters of Hussein deserve whatever suffering they receive because of his lack of American values. I only wish that when the terrorist return to America that only those who elected him, and their families would be harmed, but I know that is not the case. WE ARE ALL IN DANGER! One more thing: Sofa King, your post of the 17th states middle class folks will get a tax break under Hussein…That is double speak from his campaign. The tax cut he talks about comes after he lets the “Bush” tax cuts expire. Meaning everyones taxes go back up! Then he cuts some peoples taxes again, but not as low as the Bush plan. I am not rich! My wife is a nurse and I am a student, and I have seen my taxes go down significantly under the current administration. I am not part of the “Wealthiest Americans” group we hear so much about. However, I did see a big difference between what my taxes were under Clinton, and what they are now under Bush. So please, in the furture, do some math. Don’t just read from “Hussein for prez. dot com” and then start posting his talking points. It is stated in plain english that he will allow the current tax cuts to expire, and then put his plan in place. By then who knows what promises he’ll keep and which ones he won’t. After all it is a fact that he voted for a tax increase on people making as little as 42K. That is not a rumor, or a lie. It can be checked in the record of the United States Senate.

Charles Fried, professor at Harvard law school, has been one of the most conservative thinkers in the United States. Fried served under Reagan and has been prominently associated with several Republican leaders and candidates, most resent John McCain for whom he expressed his atheistic support in January.
Charles Fried, just endorsed and voted for Obama/Biden by absentee ballet this week. Fried as asked that his name be removed from several campaign related committees, on which he serves. In a letter Fried said, among the chief reasons for his decision is the Choice of Sarah Palin at the time of deep national crisis.

Two ads say Obama would tax small businesses, at the rate of 62%…..FALSE!
This doesn’t represent even close what Obama has proposed.
False figure includes an increased Social Security tax that Obama doesn’t support!
One ad implies that regular folks just trying to make it as entrepreneurs would be hit with such a rate.- Even if this were correct…..and it’s NOT…..It would effect only the wealthiest tax payers!

I just caught your post about Charles Fried. WOW because of Palin he switched to Hussein. IDK I would think that a two bit state senator from the south side of Chicago would be the worst choice for a President? I mean, at least she has run a whole state. All he did was go into a community, start lots of projects to help poor people change their lives, and then leave. Last time I checked that community was facing higher unemployment, a higher violent crime rate, and a higher teen pregnancy rate ….. than when Hussein got there. The guy couldn’t fix his own community, but he has made half the folks out there thinking he can fix their problems! Mark my words: in a very short amount of time, most of the support he has will dwindle away, and he will be seen for what he is (an inexperienced state senator trying to play President). However, by then it will be too late. He may win, and then we’re all screwed!

Just Think Says:

Hussein_Dishonorable… Get your facts straight!

True, you were right, Under Obama’s tax plan for a single taxpayer with no children making 42k pr yr they would see an increase of …$15.00 a year.
A married couple with no children and an income of 42k pr yr or less there is NO tax increase.
A single mom with children making 42k pr yr or less there is NO tax increase.
Obama’s plan promises cuts for the mid-income taxpayer, and would increase rates only for persons with family incomes above $250,000 or with individual incomes above $200,000.
Obama’s plan helps seniors making less than $50,000 pr yr, they will not pay any income tax.
Obama’s, tax plan cuts taxes, for 95% of all working people.

Kyle Said:

“If he died while in office, Sarah Palin would become president. That would be devastating. Have you even seen here interviews? She has no idea what she is talking about. She is hands down the most inexperienced politician in this country.”

Kyle, I don’t know how you come to this assumption. Sarah Palin has more sole-leadership experience as the governer of Alaska than ANY 2-year congressman. She was a mayor for 6 years and has been the chief executive of a state for 2 years. These are positions that you can’t blend into the safety of peer party members. Obama, on the other hand, has shown no leadership or accountability. He has done nothing but either vote “present” or voted with his party. What leadership position has Obama held as a public servant…..ever?!

I find it interesting how her position as Commander in Chief of one of the most robust National Guard in this country is totally dismissed. Equally as interesting is the fact that her state is home of the most complex early warning system any state has.

If Obama where the Governer of Alaska, I have no doubt the leberal media would’ve protrayed him as the courageous leader of our nation’s last line of defense and soley responsible for deterring Russia’s imminent attack on the US.

By the way, she achieved a 93 percent approval rating in her state. What governer, at ANY time in our history has EVER achieved that? Of course, we have nothing to compare to in Obama’s history. I guess this is where an Obama-supporter might point out that change is in the future and I’m just bringing up the past.

As far as taxes, go, I think you’ll see that Obama’s “plan” simply won’t work. His plan to increase the deficiet 1 trillion more dollars CAN NOT be supported without increasing taxes. I find it odd, Sofa King, how you are willing to stomach that kind of an increase on your taxes, but not a few more years to properly end a war.

One last thing, the war didn’t put us in the poor house. If you’re looking for a good idea of what did, look at the Democratic party’s handling of Fanny Mae & Freddie Mac. I know…I know…it’s Bush’s fault.

Sofa King Ray Todd Ed Says:

25 October 2008 at 10:07 PM.

The problem with using Palin’s experience commanding the national guard in Alaska is that nobody has been able to point to any decisions she made in that capacity that somehow demonstrated leadership. I think Sarah herself said it best … she can see Russia so that makes her an expert on Russia .. shows how naive she is. She does have high ratings in Alaska, so she really needs to go back there and be governor.

The repubs are reminding me of the Howard Stern show … Sarah the clueless Governor, Joe the unlicensed plumber, Tito the (short lived 15 minutes of fame) builder. Whats next, Gary the retard and Hank the angry drunken dwarf?

As far as I am concerned, the war ended years ago. We are no longer at war with Iraq, in case you haven’t noticed. Iraq is at war with Iraq (a civil war) and we are somehow in the middle trying to referee it. How stupid is that? Do you advocate getting involved in every civil war in the world?

I think there is enough blame to go around in Washington for everyone on the current financial crisis. I know that the 6 years that the repubs had congress and the presidency didn’t help. I know that the two years that the dems had congress and the repubs had the presidency didn’t help. I figure now its time to go with the next option… have the dems control the presidency and congress, and it would appear that the majority of the American people agree with me.

Ray Says:

25 October 2008 at 11:34 PM.

Well, if the majority of the American people can be fooled into thinking that someone in charge of a state bordering air space with Russia is less qualified than a person who read about Russia in school, that’s not saying much for “the majority.” Any experience is better than none.

As far as “clueless” goes, I’d take a closer look at Biden before making that comment. He’s a target-rich environment for “clueless” quotes and I think you know that…as well as anybody who listens to him regularly. And why shouldn’t we? He only removes the foot out of his mouth long enough to shove the other one in. Didn’t he say he would NEVER run with Obama? I wonder what else he’ll roll over on.

Do I “advocate getting involved in every civil war in the world?” No. But I do feel we should finish things that we started. Whether you agree with the war or not, we’re there and we should finish right…with an established government. Then again, I’ve deployed to Iraq three times (and Afghanistan once). I know, by your standard, that means my opinion is less qualified than say…a person that tunes into CNN 4 times a day, but I acutally got to experience what was/is going on and see the liberal media for what it is…biased information providers.

Which leads to what the “majority of American people agree” on. Here’s an untwistable fact: The Polls calculated has Bush was going to lose both times. It’s just a hunch, but I don’t think Republicans poll as much as Democrats and judging by the way Democrats register (i.e Acorn), I’m thinking the polls may have one or two (hundred/thousand) repeat contributers. Remember that in early November as the so-called “swing states” start filling in red.

Ray, the polls were right in 2000 for sure, it is undisputed that Gore won Florida (a la the poll calculation) but Bush and his cronies stole it. You can’t blame the poll for that. While there are strong indications that Bush stole Ohio in 2004, it is not as clear cut as the Florida situation, but again, I don’t think the polls were wrong in measuring who the people would vote for. If McCain had to steal only one state, maybe it would happen again, but he and his dysfunctional campaign will never be able to steal a bunch of states.

We already finished what we started in Iraq, a long time ago. We just never left when it was over, we just found other stuff to do to keep busy. In the working world I see this all the time … projects without a clear objective never do well, they always are viewed as a failure in the end, even if good things were accomplished along the way. After the original objective is met, the project just continues,,,, eventually upper management pulls the plug because it will never end otherwise, and the people that participated are left feeling disappointment, anger and frustration. It is one of the predictable results of poor leadership.

Ray Says:

26 October 2008 at 12:53 PM.

Sofa, I’m sorry, but what YOU consider the objective(s) of the war is just not accurate at the strategic level. The objective has ALWAYS been to remove Saddam from power and provide the country of Iraq a democratic government to establish stability. The vacuum of power created by removing a dictator is too volatile to ingnore. We would, in essence, be providing Al Qaeda their own country and legitamacy. I’m sorry about your experiences in the civilian-run working world, but they don’t pertain at all.

As far as the 2000 Florida elections go, I believe you are refusing to acknowledge the a few things, like the absentee votes (from overseas, i.e. miltiary) counted days later that placed Bush even further in front without question. Everything else is conspiracy theory and lacks factual evidence.

In regards to his “Disfunctional campaign”, I stand by my original comment…I think you’ll be unpleasantly surprised on November 3rd.

Funny how the LA Times wouldn’t release that tape. I do not feel safe with this “man” (i.e. communist) running our free country. All the sheeple are too blinded to see through his antics and suave talks. Wake the f UP!!! This country will be absolutely destroyed in the first few years. Watch.

Now i may be too young to vote, too young to go to war, and too young to have a say in just about anything, but i must say that i am terrified about Obama becoming president. This video was a little far fetched for my taste, but it does bring up valid points such as the decrease of defense. why is it that we only act to terrorism when it already happens? we shouldnt have to wait for another 9/11 attack to finally get you stupid politicians in gear! peoples lives are at stake and we just want to be buddies with radical countries like Iraq. Obama also has a shrouded background. Ayers, Reverend, and Acorn are very controversial areas that Obama was a part of. He denies everything which is a blatant LIE!

In conclusion I think that Democrats will do ANYTHING to get rid of GWB. You have been manipulated by the politicians of CNN MSNBC the new york times to think anything they want you to believe. this garbage is BRAINWASHING America and i just cant stand for it. I may be 16 years old, but I can think for myself and i can believe what i want. this is America and i want a leader i can trust. IF i could vote, i would choose McCain/Palin.

I have thrown myself to the Liberal, Democratic, Blinded, Brainwashed, Sadistic, One-Sided, Baby killing (abortion is sick and you should be ashamed), Race card using, Socialistic, Media Corrupting, lying, cheating Wolves of the Internet. Have fun! and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Heres the facts and there all going to be properly cited.

Barak Obama would make one of the worst presidents in the history of the United States of America. Under Barak Obama we would show very clear messages that Americans these days are a bunch of morons.

Barak Obama announced that his new tax plan would call for the tax rises on s corporation buisnesses and on sole propieter buisness. This tax will increase by 4 percent (S corporations) and 25 perecent for sole propieters. The rate right now is 34 percent (S corporations) and 25 percent (Sole propieters). Tell me this, how does raising taxes on small buisnesses and even large corporations do good for the economy? All your doing is taxing us middle class Americans because in the long run they will just take it out on us. Lower taxes on small buisnesses and corporations will allow them to expand and create jobs, but thats just my opinion.
My next point is that when you say that your going to stop researching nuclear weapons, decom missle defense systems, stop the development of military technology you show the world that we are weak and vulnerable. How the hell can you go and and stop the researching of nukes? What world do we live in?

Another point why Obama would be bad is his retarted views on oil drilling. Joe Biden and Barak Obama have always voted against off shore and drilling in Alaska. Now, if you say your gona lead us off foreign oil and wont drill in the U.S how you gona do it? Hmmm, seems hypocrital does it not?

Now this is for you liberals out there that are complete idiots. Why would you vote for a man that said our troops air raid and kill innocent civilians, that Iran is a small country, a man that is associated with foreign and domesric terrorists, and a hypocrit? Don’t people think before they vote or are you all just a bunch of idiots?

Common Sense Says:

1 November 2008 at 9:05 AM.

Kim,
The reason that John McCain has issues with his arms, is because he had his shoulders broken while in a P.O.W. camp, defending your freedoms. Why would you bash him for that? I suppose that the fact that the computer you’re typing on, was bought with a welfare check which stands to grow if Obama is elected, is a factor. Illiteracy is rampant……

As for America’s future under the Obama tax plan. History repeats itself. The great depression was caused by economic factors in the U.S. similar in scope as those we are seeing today.

Stock market crash – Although what we’re seeing today isn’t quite as bad as what happened in 1929, It’s scope is similar.

Bank Failures – Ring a bell?

Reduction of purchasing across the board – Again, currently we’re seeing the same in our country.

Increased taxes on the upper, and middle class – This was the final straw that drove our country into the dust. In the face of decreased governmental income, president Hoover enacted the largest tax increase in history, driving business’ to failure.

The Obama tax plan comes at a time in US history that couldn’t be worse. If the American public think that this tax plan is going to contribute to increased economic growth, I would advise that they look at history. We’re in for the second “great depression” in an Obama presidency.

If you think it’s bad now….. Vote Obama, and it get’s worse…..

At any rate, the bandwagon’s wheels are running tired and the “undecided” voters are going to come out strong for McCain. Once people get their heads out of the asses of CNN and MSNBC bias they will come to realize the very scary fact that Osama may be our next Commander in Chief. America is in trouble I agree but I still have faith that there are too many intelligent, hard working citizens who don’t want to hand their paychecks over to a Socialist/Terrorist/Communist. I think people will wake up.

Show me da money Says:

3 November 2008 at 10:23 AM.

Ok Matt, for instance Obama has a much more worldly view and understands that military force alone cannot solve many of the problems and conflicts in the world. There are times to use military force and there are times to use diplomacy and negotiation … he knows when to use each.

So much for your guarantee that the only reason people vote for him is that he is black, lol. Thanks for playing, come back soon.

Dave Says:

3 November 2008 at 2:17 PM.

I think that blacks are only voting for him because Obama is black. They feel inferior and have some “point to prove” that the black man CAN become somebody regardless of his morals. Well Obama has a white mom and white grandmom; there’s no way in hell if he were 100% black he would even be in the running.

Matt Says:

3 November 2008 at 6:25 PM.

I applaud you for answering and rest assured that that statement wasnt referring to you. Now to go on the defensive and then the offensive how is it that he has a better view on the world when he will meet with foreign rulers and without pre-conditions? Also, military force is a must to justify political means in my viewpoint. Also, Obama has said he will stop the building of nuclear weapons and work to get rid of them. Tell me, do you honestly think Russia is going to strive to have world peace? I mean, after the aggression shown in Georgia it should be clear evidence that Russia has no desire for peace and to stop our own production and pray that they follow suit is ridiculous. Thats taking a huge risk that could result in the loss of lives.

Now, moving on to my interperation and understanding. When I look at the world, I see 4 places excluding America. I see Russia, China, North Korea, and The Middle East. Each region is sub-categorized into “spheres of influence” (Term first used by countries that had trade with China). Lets categorize the middle east. The middle east has 4 spheres of influence. Iraq, The Kingdom, Iran and then the rest of it excluding Israel. It has always been the American goal to gain full acceptance into these spheres of influence to help with our oil crisis (yes, we still have one). First off, the invasion of Iraq was extremely important. Iraq was seen as the regions most desireable piece of land to have. Its startegic location, its people. and its oil fields that are there. America and both Bush’s felt that American presence there and a new government would bring about a mass migration of American culture and turn the middle east into “New America.” Obviosuly it failed but did bring about a new political tool. Iraq today is a new society in which theirs business, trade, a sense of pride. So for the most part, one sphere down and 3 to go. Now, comes the kingdom. America has always been decent freinds with the monarchs and they have always respected one another to a point. Oil trade, infrastructure builidng, and military sell offs created huge markets for America. Okay so 2 spheres are in control, now on to Iran. Iran is a very complicated sphere to control. Its government literally hates us and sont want to fall into American hands so its a huge problem. Now, Iran wants to obtain nuclear weapons which Obama said is a small country. Anyway, right now its very difficult for American presence in Iran so a new strategy for her is being created.

The other regions of the worl are broken down into these spheres but it would take forever to get to these. This is my point, I feel that John McCain would do a better job at controlling these spheres and give us a better world view. If we have to use military force, so be it, as long as we remain dominate.

Smug, smirky smile Says:

3 November 2008 at 10:00 PM.

Here is an example of precondition, a la Bush. I will meet with Iran after they dismantle their nuclear program, agree to have monitoring in place, and agree to never have another program. Hnmmm, what would be left to talk about? That is the stupidest way to resolve the conflict. Obama says, on the other hand, with appropriate preparation, he would meet with them if he felt there were an opportunity to resolve the conflict, without requiring them to already agree to the answer before they met. Bush is pie in the sky, who would agree to those preconditions?

Obama believes that this world would be a safer place without everyone stockpiling all the nuclear weapons. If he can achieve agreements to reduce them, and we have the ability to monitor any infractions, why not?

On the distortion about Obama saying Iran was a small country and a small threat … here is what he said “”strong countries and strong presidents talk to their adversaries. That’s what Kennedy did with Khrushchev. That’s what Reagan did with Gorbachev. That’s what Nixon did with Mao. I mean, think about it. Iran, Cuba, Venezuela — these countries are tiny, compared to the Soviet Union. They don’t pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us. And yet, we were willing to talk to the Soviet Union at the time when they were saying, ‘We’re going to wipe you off the planet.’”

Military force is absolutely necessary, it becomes the incentive for other countries to negotiate solutions because they know they can’t compete with our military. Used correctly it is a huge advantage, used as a first resort it gives us much less of an advantage.

Here we have one reason why America is so fouled up: ////SCAMP SAYS I’m sick of rich sniveling bastards complaining about a tax increase. Try living off microwaved noodles and peanut butter for a week so you can pay your bills despite working 60 hours. The wealthy are out of touch with the reality that 98% of Americans face.//// Hey SCAMP . . . your hardships are not MY problem. I’d like to know more about the choices you made and the circumstances that got you where you are. Did you study hard in high school or did you spend your time smoking dope, listening to rap music and playing video games? Did you go into the military and receive technical training, college credit, GI Bill and have a chance to save for the future or did you spend your years after high school smoking dope, listening to rap music and playing video games? If you went to college did you get a useful degree or did you major in Feminist Lit and spend your time smoking dope, listening to rap music and playing video games? Were you sexually promiscuous? Did you have babies you can’t care for? Did you go to prison? You seem to see yourself as a VICTIM and think that somehow “taxes” will solve your problem. I suspect you’re eating noodles and peanut butter because you made BAD CHOICES but now find it easier to blame others for your weekly menu selections. You screwed around and had “fun” when you should have been working hard and preparing for the future. Now you’re the perfect tool. You’re like one of the “power units” in the MATRIX. You live in squalor because you bought into the fantasy world of a liberal, anything-goes, lazy, inmoral, relativistic society that CREATES people like you. Why? Because people like you are easy to fool. All it takes is some thug to say “change” and you willingly put him in power thinking your life will improve. Sorry. You’ve been conned. And now, even though I made the corrrect choices and worked hard all my life, I now have to worry about and care for your sorry ass? Bullllllll-shit.

It’s simple. Republicans want to keep the wealthy, wealthy so they’ll constantly have their support. The Democrats want to keep the poor, poor so they can keep promising them wealth. All Obama promises will raise our taxes. He’ll give low income famlies a little more tax money at tax time but, nothing compared to what he’ll take out of the rest of the year to fund all his “changes”.
