The Iraq war cost an estimated 700 Billion which is similer to the bailout plan. But then again we aren't taking into consideration all the hard workers that lost their jobs by being KIA(I guess you can count that as a plus because then others just get to fill their footsteps!). The bailout SAVED jobs, do you know why we needed the bailout? Maybe because the administration (People under the president, im NOT blaming Bush) relived 90% of the regulations that kept the financial institutions in check. This was the true test of the American people and complete capitalism, could everyone take out a smart lone for their house? NO, hence why the housing market crashed. Im not supporting socialism but the government DOES need to put limited regulations on the finical industry(And others) so they don't offer these absurd lones. You guys need to realize a FULL and COMPLETE capitalism wont work, neither will a FULL socialism or a FULL communism work(Those obviously failed). You need to have a balance, and currently the far right is preaching a full capitalism, there needs to be a delicate mix between freedom and governing. Believe it or not, the government IS there for a reason(crazy isn't it?)!They are here to GOVERN, and we live in a place where we can choose who governs us, and we chose liberals after the conservatives screwed up, im not saying that their better, im just saying you should give them a chance to try and fix things before you call them socialist money hungry bastards(which they very well might turn out to be).
